Marriage:

Congratulations and God's blessings on your engagement! The pastor and staff at Saint Catherine of Siena share in your joy and are delighted that you are considering celebrating the sacrament of marriage with our parish community.

As you begin this journey, there will be much to plan and prioritize. With thoughtful preparation, you will not only create a beautiful wedding ceremony but also lay the foundation for a wonderful life together.

The sacraments are “outward signs instituted by Christ to give grace.” The Church believes that marriage is one of the most profound examples of God’s love, care, and relationship with us. In this sacrament, a man and a woman become one in body, mind, and spirit in a union that is permanent, exclusive, and open to the gift of life.

Sacraments are significant milestones in the life of every Catholic and the life of the Church. In the Catholic faith, it is not the blessing of the priest or deacon that makes the sacrament a reality; rather, it is the couple’s mutual giving and receiving of consent, celebrated within the entire parish community.
